As part of our ongoing dedication to education for the arts in south Florida, we at Life Is Art have teamed up with several other skilled social media influencers to put together a one-day conference to help you with your social media skills. The conference is open to everyone, but there will be plenty of information for artists and those working in the arts.

Miami Social Media is thrilled to celebrate Mashable’s third annual Social Media Day!

Mashable launched the event in 2010 as a way to recognize the digital revolution happening right before our eyes.

For Social Media Day 2012, many of Miami’s top social media influencers have come together to produce a one day conference. Multiple tracks are scheduled, including content for beginners as well as for advanced social media users. The conference will be followed by a happy hour social, because being social is what it is all about.

We will be celebrating Social Media Day at Zadok Art Gallery with workshops from 2pm to 6pm, followed by happy hour at a nearby bar.

This is a day to celebrate the changes in media that have empowered us to stay connected to information in real time, the tools that have enabled us to communicate from miles apart, and the platforms that have given a voice to the voiceless and victims of protest injustice.
