Do you make a career out of or hope to make a career out of art, or is it a sideline for you?
At the moment… all of the above.
What is it about your work that makes it speak to people or to the community at large?
I think my work is universal and speaks to all of us in general because we are all on a journey.
How do you let people know about your work and your shows?
Ads, postcards, social media.
What do you feel inspires you to make art in the particular medium you have chosen?
After taking two and a half years of Architecture, drawing was ruined for me, so switched to photography as my way of drawing or painting.
Because I was born here and am a rare native.
Do you have a favorite artist from the past or present?
I am deeply influenced by my film and photography idols- Alfred Hitchcock and Herb Ritts. Both for their Black & White, Hitchcock for his horror and suspense, and Ritts for his incomparable portraits.
If someone wanted to get into being an artist, what would be your first suggestion to them?
Be prepared for a long journey, a lot of rejection, and don’t give up ever.
Testimonial: Annette and James gave me an opportunity in 2014 to be part of Soul of Miami presents River of Art, a Life is Art event at Porcao Grill, Brickell and I have been an avid fan and eternally grateful since. I applaud their determination and what they do for our Miami Art scene.
