Biography: Adorable Monique is an award-winning U.S. based artist brought up abroad. She holds a Baccalaureate from La Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and a BFA obtained at La Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán and is currently pursuing a MFA. She has had the good fortune to be mentored by a renown Central American artist, which has helped enriched her artistic vision. She has received merit awards, the opportunity to exhibit in various venues. Growing up surrounded by different cultures has broadened her overall view of life. She is continuously pursuing success in personal, professional, and artistic endeavors as well in the artistic experience itself.

Do you make a career out of or hope to make a career out of art, or is it a sideline for you?
The successful pursuit in the Arts Field.

What is it about your work that makes it speak to people or to the community at large?
In my bold, vibrant palette, my work invites you to look for meaning beyond color. The themes are a recurring focus on identity and cultural heritage, tangible and not tangible. In my art, I intend to convey the core value of the spirit of nature, my inspiration through the beauty found in each context, and the appreciation of the noble values of life.

How do you let people know about your work and your shows?
Social media sites,press and other.

What do you feel inspires you to make art in the particular medium you have chosen?
The need to express my voice,thoughts and vision of life itself.

Why Miami?
I love Miami. The Diversity of everything,people, cultures makes it unique and engaging.

If someone wanted to get into being an artist, what would be your first suggestion to them?
To do it , follow your heart,dreams and drive. It would be foolish to silence the creavity that is bursting to manifest.
