Second Annual ‘PhilanthroFest’ Unites South Florida’s Non-Profit Organizations With Art, Music, Culture In A Large Scale, Family Friendly Community Event
Free outdoor event raises community awareness and promotes civic engagement with over 100 non-profit organization participants in fun-filled day with purpose.
PhilanthroFest will hold their second annual outdoor festival showcasing over 100 South Florida non-profit organizations on Saturday, April 6 from Noon to 6 p.m. at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus. During the free, large-scale community event, South Florida residents of all ages will have the opportunity to learn about philanthropic organizations and community resources in a family-friendly atmosphere while enjoying music, art, performance, demonstrations, vendors, food trucks, fun family activities courtesy of PhilanthroFest’s community partners.
The event takes place annually in April and is free and open to the public with the goal of connecting potential volunteers and donors to not-for-profit organizations while creating a fun, family friendly environment that promotes civic engagement, deepens community connections and sparks the philanthropic spirit of South Florida.
Attendees will learn more about valuable community resources while enjoyilng a great outdoor festival that includes music from favorites, PALO! and Day Musc Died, DJ Hank Justice, tango and flamenco performances, drum circle, live theatre by Mobile Micro Theater, cooking demonstration by WokStar, yoga led by Rina, communtiy meditation by Hay House author, Jennifer Grace and more!
Kids will also enjoy interactive exhibits and activities by Miami Science Museum and HistoryMiami. With so much to see and do, event attendees will surely builld up an appetite! Fortunately, Burger Beast has ensured no one goes hungry by hosting the food truck rally featuring Latin Burger & Taco, Marlie’s Delights, Ms. Cheezious and Veggie Xpress.
