Life Is Art T-Shirt Award and Art Basel Welcome Party

Join Life Is Art for our biggest party in years! After almost five years in business and many requests, Life Is Art is finally producing a t-shirt and hosting an Art Basel Party. We are holding a contest for the best t-shirt art design. The fans will vote on their favorite design. We have put up a large cash prize of $500 for the winning artist. The winner and design will be announced at a large party on December 2nd to kick off the Art Basel Week.
The event includes music, performance, interactive art and sponsored refreshments, and all funds raised go to Life Is Art’s mission to support the arts and community in South Florida. The party happens at the newest funky hangout in Wynwood, Cafe Babbo.
Art and Entertainment!
There will be a T-Shirt Award Ceremony with $500 cash award and prizes to the winning artist and design reveal. Music will be provided by local acts Bows and Ties, DJ Hank Justice, Max Holm Quartet and Pocket of Lollipops. Performances by Prince Aderele with a fire show, ViKerrious will present an interactive character, and spoken poetry by Renda Writer.
The Interactive Art includes WallBrawl art competition featuring Derek Wilson and Rigo Leon, live portraits by Robert Korhonen, live painting by Ileana Collazo, guided participatory art creation by Art and Wine Miami, personalized poems by Oscar Fuentes, rhythmic painting by Nicole Malcolm, and Christ Riggs painting a live pyramid. Freshly Squeezed will be providing fundraising massages.

The SPECTRUM Art Fair in Midtown is a major supporter, committing half of their tickets sales to supporting Life Is Art. Additional sponsor support is given by Cafe Babbo, Andy Toonz, Acidfeed, CreativGlu, and Ekena.
Refreshments are sponsored by El Dorado Rum courtesy of AMC Liaisons, Iceberg Vodka, Cockspur Rum, World of Beer Midtown, Le Koke Wine & Bites, Casa Panza, Divino Ceviche, El Cristo Restaurant, Mad Chillers. Complimentary food and beverage service are first-come, first-served.

Proceeds go to Life Is Art’s mission of supporting the arts and community in South Florida. Life Is Art is a certified 501(c)3 charitable organization. Life Is Art is a south-Florida based non-profit corporation founded in January of 2009 with a goal to build the community through cultural infrastructure.
