Greetings Art Peoples!
This is going be a big update; we have a LOT coming up.
First, thanks to everyone who came out to the seminar on Tuesday. We had a full house and had to even pull up a few stools because we ran out of chairs! I hope everyone learned a lot, met some great people, and had fun. Photos are posted here.
We are going to try to post the video of the seminar, for anyone who missed it. We will keep you updated on that. As always, if you enjoyed the event, we ask that you please leave a comment on our testimonial page: lifeisartfest.org/testimonials
Boy, do we have a busy spring! A ton of events have come our way and we will be bringing them all to you.
River Of Art at Bar 721. These are always great networkers with lots of people from the arts community attending. We are showcasing 8 local artists. Tacontento is providing free bites. Bar 721 is giving us 2 for 1 drinks. DJ Soozin is providing the music. What more could you want?

Creative Connections #10 – The Artist as Salesperson. Greg Pitts, a working artist, will be talking about how he made the transition from a shy, introverted artist to being his own best salesperson. This is such an important issue, do not miss it.

Also in March we plan to have a second Creative Connections about Social Media. This is one of our biggest requests, so we are bringing it to you. It will take place in the new Bird Road Art District in South Miami! Details to follow.
Spring for the Arts Showcase in the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale. We are still locking down the details for this, but it is a big push that the mall is doing throughout the month of April. We plan to showcase several artists inside the mall. Open call coming soon!
Boca Center Art Fair. This has just been confirmed. The Boca Center in Boca Raton has invited us to create an art fair in their courtyard. They will be supporting it via their full marketing plan. This will be open call and there will be a small booth fee. The call will go out next week, so keep an eye out. We plan to have art, fashion and music, and make a very nice show.
River Of Art showcase at Surfcomber Collins Bar in South Beach. More details to follow.
River Of Art / Mai Art showcase at Mai Tardi in they Design District. More details to follow.
We attentively have this set as a big fundraiser in the gorgeous Surfcomber hotel pool area. Art, music, fashion, performance, sponsored bar, sponsored bites, all to raise money for Life Is Art so we can put on larger and better shows.
We do plan to have a Creative Connections seminar once a month. We have presenters ready to go, we just need to confirm the future dates and locations.
We also have other events in the works between now and June, but they are still up in the air. As soon as we confirm everything, we will let you know.
Please note, for all of these events, the open calls for artists will go out at the appropriate times. Please wait for the calls to submit work. We are really working very hard to create as many opportunities as we can for artists to show their work. We appreciate your patience and understanding when we cannot fit everyone into every show.
Please be sure to join us on February 23rd at Bar 721 for our River of Art showcase and networker. More information.
