Art is an inspiring talking point, whether you like a piece or are puzzled by it, discussing it is a great way to break the ice. Culture is one of the primary elements that build community. Hosting a business networker within an art show is a unique way to encourage socializing.

One of our most exciting plans is the Art/Work Conference. We are working on putting together a weekend conference on art, the art world and the business of art for artists, art professionals and art lovers. The Art/Work Conference mission is to educate artists, arts professionals and art lovers; inform artists and organizations of resources available to them; engage the arts community in a meaningful way; promote South Florida as a serious art destination.
The conference follows an engaging and informative format of roundtables, discussions, panels, seminars and breakout sessions facilitated and led by acknowledged experts on a variety of subjects. It also includes time for networking and socializing. An art show is part of the conference, showcasing some of the best of South Florida art. Scheduled speakers insure that all aspects of the art world are covered, business, finance, technology, art appreciation, youth, promotion/sales/marketing and legal issues all as related to art and artists. The inaugural conference is scheduled for late summer 2013.

More Coming Soon!
We are also hoping to restart our Creative Connections seminar series. It was very popular and we are looking at funding for it so we can keep it low-cost or free while having high-quality presenters.
We are working on plans for a large outdoor music and art festival in the fall.
And, we have some other surprises in store! So, stay tuned for more announcements.
