All media artists are invited to submit applications and pics of artworks. The application form may be dowloaded from our website at: www.poolartfair.com.
The pool art fair offers artists the opportunity to be a part of the most important cultural environment that manifests during the week of March 4, 5 & 6, in New York. Once a year, hundreds of thousands of art enthusiasts travel to the city to buy art, meet artists and plan there upcoming exhibitions and programming. Leading a group of active international artfairs such as scope, pulse and pool, the armory show has established a tradition of cultivating top art buyers collectors, journalists, art critics and curators. This is the best week of the year to show artworks in nyc. It is also a unique opportunity for gallery owners, curators and other art enthusiasts to discover artists that are not shown in the other art fairs.
Participation In The Show And Selection Criteria
The selection is based on the following criteria:
– quality and technical control of the craft of choice
– potential for the artist to evolve in the direction he/she chooses
– our ability to place the work in the general discourse of contemporary art today
– aesthetic in tune with over all artistic direction of the show
To apply, artists must send in a completed application from accompanied with 4 to 10 images submitted in a jpeg format via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Art professionals will jury your application.
Pool art fair only shows original contemporary art works and does not accept craft, plain decorative arts, traditional furniture, functional glass or ceramic. Photomechanical reproductions such as offset lithographs, prints run off a commercial printing press, embellished commercial reproductions or gicle (with the exception of photography or digital media categories) are not allowed. Exhibitors that are unsure may contact us to discuss their particular case. Presentation of post cards, calendars, posters and t. Sale of t-shirts is permitted pending approval from show management.
Artists may share their rooms. Artists run centers, and collectives are also welcome to share room space with management approval.
