This exhibition, to be held at the Miami International University of Art & Design, will offer a way for artists to express the depth of their thoughts and feelings as it relates to HIV/AIDS in honor of World AIDS Day.
Artists can submit for review paintings, sculptures and photographs to depict how this disease has changed the lives of so many around the world. The submission deadline for artists is Friday, November 12, 2010.
Held in honor of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 and in partnership with ArtCenter South Florida, MBCHC’s Through the Eyes of Love will be free and open to the public at Miami International University of Art & Design from Wed., Dec. 1 through Sat., Dec. 4. An opening reception is planned for Tues., Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.
“We have been so impressed by the great response over the past two years with more than 100 artists showing their works of art,†said Kathryn Abbate, CEO of Miami Beach Community Health Center. “We see this as a great awareness opportunity to further shed light on this disease and offer hope as there are viable treatment options allowing people to lead productive lives.â€
