4th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest
The City of Miami Gardens is pleased to announce the opening registration for the 4th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Oratorical Contest. The theme is “How I Can Make Miami Gardens Even Better†based on the MLK principles. This contest is open to all school aged students who reside and/or attend a school in the City of Miami Gardens. This contest is also open to all adults who reside and/or attend a university within the City of Miami Gardens. Application Deadline is Friday, October 31, 2008.
2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Performance Poetry Contest
The City of Miami Gardens is pleased to announce the opening registration for the 2nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Performance Poetry Contest. The theme is “How I Can Make My Neighborhood Better†based on any two (2) of six principles of nonviolence used by MLK. Each participant will have “4.0†minutes to recite their poem. This contest is open to all adults ages 18 and over who reside in South Florida. The event will; be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 in Miami Gardens.
