Call to Artists:
WET- an exhibit about water at CANDO Arts Co-op at 309 23rd St, Miami Beach, FL
Open Thursday and Friday from 4-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-6pm, First Saturday of each month 6-10pm
Living in South Florida, we are inundated by water. Surrounded by the ocean, caught in torrential downpours, flash floods and sweating are part of every day life for Floridians. How does water inspire you, how do you interact with water in your environment, what does water bring to mind- clean water conservation? gulf coast cleanup? or canoeing through the Everglades? These are the questions artists will answer with their visual interpretations for WET, an exhibition about water.
Come join the artists at CANDO Arts Co-op for WET. The opening reception will be held
December 1th, with the show running though the Art Basel fair season and until January 10th. CANDO Arts Co-op is located one block from the Bass Museum of Art, and expects heavy traffic during the Art Basel fair season.
The artworks for the show will be chosen by guest juror Diane Camber, who is an art historian, educator, and architectural preservationist. Ms. Camber was the Executive Director/Chief Curator of the Bass Museum of Art for 26 years, where she organized more than 150 exhibits.
