Title: Divine Debris & Glorious Trash
Featuring artwork about Miami Beach or made by Miami Beach artists!
Co-Sponsors: Arts at St. Johns, ArtShare LLC creative arts group, and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
Venue/Location: Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Judges: Paula Turk and Dr. Carol Hoffman-Guzman
Funders of art exhibit: This exhibit is funded in part by grants from Miami-Dade County Dept. of Cultural Affairs and City of Miami Beach Cultural Affairs Council.
Vision of Exhibit & Eligibility: Two- and three-dimensional art made from recycled materials, debris,or trash. The work must be about Miami Beach, or the artist must be
an artist living or working in Miami Beach.
Media: Painting, photography, graphics, fiber art, sculpture, multi-media art and more.
Fees: $20 for 1-3 entries.Entry fee not refundable. The $20 entry fee helps support the work of Arts at St Johns and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
Commission: 15%
Insurance: The Miami Beach Botanical Garden has a Fine Arts clause in their insurance.
Eligibility: Open to all styles and genres in any recycled medium, either related to Miami Beach or by Miami Beach-based artists.
· Original works in any recycled material, debris or trash
· Work must be ready to hang, and clearly labeled with the artists name and contact information. A limited number of pedestals will be available. Most art will be hung on the walls. Artists can supply their own easels.
· No substitutions of accepted work, unless OKed by the judges.
· All work will remain on display during the duration of the exhibit.
Deadlines: Submissions must be emailed on or before May 17, 2010
· All those who have entered will receive a reply by May 25, 2010.
· All chosen artists work must be delivered between 9 am and noon on June 14, Monday, the opening day of the show.
· The reception is 7-9 pm, Tuesday, June 15, 2010. The reception will be publicized and open to the public
· Unsold art is to be picked up Thursday, June 17, 2010 between 2-4 pm.
· Online Submission Guidelines – No Submissions By Mail
Prepare images for online submission as follows:
1. A digital image of each art piece in jpeg or similar format.
2. Label the image using first and last name, title of art piece, medium, size of artwork, and price.
3. Include a bio and artist statement, some of which will be used in promotional material.

Applicants who have not paid the fee by May 17 will not be reviewed.
Application Fee & Commission Agreement: There will be a $20 jury/application fee to submit up to 3 digital images to be considered for the exhibition.
The Sponsors of the Exhibition will do all advertising and marketing and will coordinate the opening reception with refreshments.
Any art sold during the exhibit will be commissioned at a percentage of 15% / 85% to sponsors/artist.
