For those that do not know, The Bakehouse Art Complex is a nice reduced-fee studio complex over in Wynwood. They are hosting art workshops for youth 11-16, which should be pretty cool. It is a long session, all day, so is a great way to get the kids out of the house for a week during the summer.

Summer Art Workshops for Students

WHAT: Students ages 11-16 are invited to participate in BAC’s Summer Art Workshops, a 3 week intensive workshop program intended to stretch the imagination and develop new artistic skills! All of BAC’s instructors are professional artists and Bakehouse Residents, who have extensive teaching experience.
WHEN: Session I: June 22 – June 26
9:00am – Noon: Still Life Drawing
1:00pm – 4:00 pm- Ceramics
Session II: June 29 – July 2
9:00am – Noon: Painting
1:00pm – 4:00 pm- Figure Drawing
Session III: July 7 – July 10
9:00am – Noon: Mixed Media
1:00pm – 4:00 pm- Pastels
SESSION FEES: Non-Members: *10% Discount will be given to each additional child in the immediate family who is registered.

*Student must be dedicated to learning.
*Students should be dropped off at 8:45 am each day, and picked up at 4:15pm. The pickup/drop off location is on NW 32nd Street
*Students should bring their own lunch, drinks and snacks. Lunch bags should be marked. Refrigeration is available.

*The Bakehouse Art Complex’s administrative offices are open from 9-5 Monday-Friday. Registration is due the Friday prior to the beginning of the Session. Registration must be complete and signed.
*Limited enrollment in order to provide students with concentrated instruction. There are no refunds for the Summer Workshop Program.
