Cannonball (formerly LegalArt) is now accepting applications for its Local and Visiting Residency Programs.
Deadline For Applications Is August 12 | Midnight (EST)
Local Residency
Who is eligible: Artists of all disciplines, curators, arts writers, scholars, museum professionals, and other cultural producers based in Miami-Dade County.
Duration: Local Residencies last 11.5 months, from February 1, 2014 through January 15, 2015.
What it includes: Successful applicants live and work in the residency for the duration of the residency period. Each resident receives a private live/work studio, free Internet and Wi-Fi access, all utilities, and one free parking space. All residents share the residency floor which includes a full kitchen, on-site laundry facilities, and dining and lounge areas. Local residents pay a highly-subsidized monthly rent of $450, which includes all aforementioned amenities.

Visiting Residency
Who is eligible: Artists of all disciplines, curators, arts writers, scholars, museum professionals, and other cultural producers based outside of Miami-Dade County.
Duration: One-to-three months per resident. This call is for September 15, 2013 through January 4, 2015.
What it includes: The Visiting Residency Program provides a platform for cultural producers to think, conduct research, produce new work, engage the local art community, and develop professional relationships in Miami. Selected Residents receive a free, fully-furnished live/work space for the duration of the residency period, which includes full use of the residency floor, free Internet and Wi-Fi access, all utilities, and one parking space. Cannonball will cover round-trip travel expenses up to $500.
