Spectrum Miami Contemporary Art Show Public Exhibition:
Life Is ArtPlay and LaunchPad Feature Artist

Life Is Art is once again proud to partner with Spectrum Miami Contemporary Art Show during the Miami Art Basel Week to present an exhibition of South Florida artists. On Thursday and Friday, December 3 and 4, 2015, we will be hosting a group of artists to be creating their work live in public in the front courtyard of Spectrum Miami. The art will remain prominently displayed on exhibition and sale throughout the show in the courtyard.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Life Is ArtPlay Exhibition Details
1) Artists will be creating their artwork live on Thursday, December 3rd or Friday, December 4th.
2) DEADLINE to Apply: Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:59pm.
3) In addition, one artist will be selected as the LaunchPad Artist for a special feature (see below).
4) Eligibility: Open to artists who live and work primarily in South Florida.
5) Open to both 2D and 3D artists. Art styles can include painting, collage, mixed-media, sculpture, and other 2D or 3D formats.
6) A total of ten (10) artists will be chosen.
7) Artists will be chosen by a jury consisting of representatives from Spectrum Miami and Life Is Art.
8) There is NO fee to apply.
9) There is NO fee to display.
10) Five (5) artists will create each day, one set on 12/3/15 and the other on 12/4/15.
11) You will be notified of which day you will be working if you are chosen.
12) This show takes place outside in the Spectrum Miami courtyard.
13) Each artist receives a 48”x48” wood sheet upon which to create.
14) Life Is Art will supply an easel or platform for each artist.
15) Artist needs to bring their own paint and other materials.
16) All work will be displayed outside, rain or shine, so it needs to be weather resistant.
17) Artists must be ready to go starting at 4:00pm on their selected day.
18) The show closes at 9:00pm each day.
19) If you do not finish in your allotted time, you may return at a future date to finish.
20) There will be an Artists Reception on Thursday, December 3, 7:00pm – 9:00pm. All artists are required to be in attendance.
21) Artwork remains on display in the Spectrum Miami courtyard through Sunday, December 6th at 6:00pm.
22) Unsold work must be picked up on Sunday, December 6th between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
23) All art will be for sale through the artist directly.
24) Artist keeps 100% of the proceeds from their own sales.
LaunchPad Featured Artist Details.
In addition to the above, ONE (1) artist will be chosen for a very special feature called LaunchPad. Spectrum Miami will give them media coverage, special exhibition space adjacent to ArtPlay, plus they will be one of the featured artists in ArtPlay on both Thursday and Friday. The LaunchPad is for emerging, unrepresented artists only.

Chosen artists will be notified by Tuesday, November 3, 2015 via email. Please monitor your email closely.

By agreeing to participate in the Spectrum Miami Life Is ArtPlay exhibition, the above agrees to protect, keep and save Life Is Art, Spectrum Miami, Midtown Miami, and all their officers and staff, forever harmless from any damage, loss, cost, liability, or expense that arises from their being at this event. This agreement covers full setup, run of the event, and takedown. By signing above, you indicate your approval of all information contained.
Life Is Art and Spectrum Miami reserve the right to refuse entrance or participation as allowed by law.
