Life Is Art joined with The Homeless Trust and over 30 other partners to create an art installation designed to raise awareness of the homeless situation in Miami. Over 1100 miniature houses were painted by area students, politicians, and others. Each house represent one person who sleeps on the streets. Brickell City Centre donated space for the installation.
The need is for more rentals to be made available to house the homeless. The Homeless Trust has a fund to help with or pay the rent for the newly homed until they can get back on their feet, but this requires landlords to rent units to the Homeless Trust.
