Miami’s Independent Thinkers Art Basel 2013
Art Basel satellite fair dedicated to showcasing local artists is holding a Call-to-Artists for South Florida artists working across a range of media.
Deadline is November 24th, 2013.
Acceptance Announcement: November 28th, 2013.
Heather Read, Sara Read, Laraine Hart and Kerry McLaney (305 Creative Group) present Miami’s Independent Thinkers ART BASEL 2013, a collaborative multimedia art exhibition showcasing Miami’s premiere, emerging and young artists. To be held at SCOPE Miami Beach (1000 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139), its new location on the sands of Miami Beach.
SCOPE taps into the cultural psyche to present only the most pioneering work across multiple creative disciplines. With over 50 art shows spanning more than a decade, SCOPE has solidified its position as the premier showcase for international emerging contemporary art and multi-disciplinary creative programming. SCOPE’s extensive reach enables an unrivaled opportunity for networking with art patrons, creative professionals and a culturally relevant public audience. Renowned for presenting the most innovative galleries, artists and curators, SCOPE Art Shows in Miami, Basel, New York, London and the Hamptons have garnered extensive critical acclaim, with sales of over $450 million and attendance of over 700,000 visitors.
The 7-day fair aims to feature local artists working across a range of media – painters, photographers, filmmakers, sculptors, animators, writers, musicians, muralists, performance and new media artists. The fair will run from December 2nd-8th, 2013 during Art Basel.

Notification: Artists will be notified via email of acceptance or non-acceptance by: November 28th, 2013.
Entry Fee: There is a $45 entry fee for up to four images, $5 for each additional image. Also there is a $45 entry fee for film, animation and performance submissions. Payment is accepted via PayPal. Cash may be accepted but must be handled in person.
