Miami International Mall Invites Artists To Enter First-Time Poster Contest For Its 7th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Winning artwork to be unveiled at kick-off reception and to be used on event promotional items
Miami International Mall, one of Miami’s leading shopping destinations, is inviting artists to participate in its 7th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration by submitting artwork for its first-time poster contest. The winning artwork will be used as the official poster for this free weekend event featuring folkloric music and dance, country exhibits, art and flag displays, live entertainment and a parade of native dresses from South America, Central America and the Caribbean countries.
Artists will submit artwork that reflects their interpretation or rendition of what Hispanic heritage and culture means to them. The poster should also incorporate the use of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration logo. A committee will select the winning artwork to be used on the official poster and promotional items for the 7th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration. The winner will also receive a $500 Simon gift card. The submission deadline for artists is Fri., July 1, 2011 at 5 p.m.

The 7th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration is free for the public to enjoy the colorful flavors of Latin American countries at Miami International Mall from Fri., Sept. 30 through Sun., Oct. 2. A kick-off reception is planned for Wed., July 27, to unveil the winning artwork.
