Call Details: CALL FOR ARTISTS – McCormick Place presents ‘Windows of Miami’ an exterior mural project curated by Miami Art Scene. The purpose of this project is to represent Miami’s history and diverse culture through a scenic landscape of images. The overall mural will consist of (6) individual “windowsâ€, each measuring 6’ x 12’ feet. The windows will collectively embody artwork related to Miami’s historical icons, events, or significant people from the past to the present that symbolize the culture of Miami’s rich history. Examples of images that would display the historical or modern significance that we wish to capture are (but not limited to): The Flagler Railway, Julia Tuttle, The Freedom Tower, The Tequesta Indians, Miami River, Ponce de Leon, Skyline, etc. – the idea is to be creative with illustrations related to Miami’s history that will exhibit ‘The Windows of Miami’ mural adding to the history, art, and culture that exemplifies McCormick Place today.
