During Art Deco Weekend 2016, Life Is Art is programming the Art Bar Performance Space. Art Deco Weekend, which attracts over 150,000 attendees, is a yearly festival that takes place along Ocean Drive in South Beach. It is January 15-17, 2016. There will be a sound system set up at the Art Bar available for use in arts-related programing. We invite you to come and be a part of the show and take advantage of this large built-in audience. This is an opportunity for live presentations of all types:
poetry,
spoken word,
theatrical skits,
music,
lectures,
artist talks,
dancing,
fashion shows,
comedians,
readings,
seminars,
town halls,
and any others.
It can be anything you want, as long as it is art or about art, performances and presentations. You can do an artist talk, and talk about your work and process. Actor or theatre troupe, you could do a theatrical skit. It could be an artist discussion, and talk about the art world. Do a poetry reading or a spoken word slam. If you are a writer, come and do a reading from your book. If you are involved in the art business, but not an artist, you can come do a lecture about art or about Miami. Musicians, you can come busk, play for tips. Performing artists of all types are welcome to come and present samples of their work. Whatever you do, come and show it off! The opportunity is here to appeal to the thousands of people walking by.
